Dr Ben Wagstaff
Dr Ben Wagstaff is an Australian trained paediatric surgeon having gained fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2025. Ben provides paediatric surgical care for a range of general surgical conditions across childhood including neonatal surgery, hernias, undescended testes, preputial (foreskin) conditions, minimally invasive surgery and endoscopy. In addition, he is happy to provide antenatal counselling for parents expecting a child with a paediatric surgical condition.

If your unborn baby has been identified with a surgical condition, Dr Wagstaff offers prenatal consultations to help you understand the diagnosis, plan for your baby's care, and feel as prepared as possible before birth.
Children’s Endoscopy
Upper and lower gastrointestinal endoscopy for children and adolescents, performed under general anaesthetic to investigate symptoms such as abdominal pain, gastrointestinal bleeding, or suspected bowel conditions.
Canberra Paediatric Surgeon
Dr Wagstaff consults at Canberra Hospital and National Capital Paediatrics, and performs surgery at both Canberra Hospital and Calvary John James Hospital.
